| "My my, you might find the later years to be more difficult, OWLs are coming up for you next year, after all." The thrown branch hit another tree, shaking out a few leaves and something that squirmed. "Hang on, what fell there?" It looked like a young animal, but was it an owl or a rodent? | |

| “Yeah, I know they will. Man, if you’re just the least bit stupid school won’t let you have any kind of life!”
She then looked around when the Ravenclaw’s comment. “No idea… Let’s check it out!”
And without another word she was making her way through the snow and towards the tree

| "A life of academics is what education supports, though recreation is to keep the physical health up to par." she noted dryly. As the two searched the base of the tree, they found a young owlet. Probably not older than a few weeks old, "Does he look hurt to you?" | |

| “Not really, but quite cold… Look, he’s still just covered in down…” carefully walking closer, both wary of that some angry parents might show up at any moment and that the little thing might not be used to humans, Freya kneeled down and reached out to see if it would let her pick it up | |

| The owlet hopped into the Gryffindor's hands, hooting a pitiful tone. The Ravenclaw looked around at the trees, frowning, "Perhaps it's mother is out hunting...hm..." | |

| “As far as I know both parents take care of the babies, at least when it comes to owls… Think one of them might be dead, he shouldn’t be this small?”
And on top of that he shouldn’t be out in this cold! What kind of owl was stupid enough to lay an egg at this time of the year?! Freya only frowned at the idea as she pulled a bit at her scarf, getting a somewhat good enough hole for a nest in it next to her own neck; she’d have to give the little thing her own body-heat until they got inside… Not minding the snow stuck in its feathers she simply stuffed him down her scarf until only his no doubt quite surprised head was sticking up

| "Or perhaps both, thestrals do love snacking on owls occasionally..." Artemis looked at the owlet carefully, frowning, "He certainly shouldn't be...we should take him to Professor Wong, the Care of Magical Creatures professor." Watching the other girl put the owl in her scarf, she couldn't help but crack a small smile: it looked rather funny! | |

| "Yeah, probably. But that professor can be about anywhere, and the bord needs to get inside... Maybe w an ask at dinner instead."
Making a face at the Ravenclaw for grinnning like that Freya then couldn't help but to wince as those cold feet with claws took a grip of her shoulder. Making sure the owlet would stay warm, scarf saftly around it, she almost hoped that the professor would be too busy to keep it and leave it to her (but two pets? Not realistic, it would only be a matter of time before other students copied her, and then Hogwarts would be swarmed)

| "Yes, that seems to be the best course of action." A cold wind blew and the Ravenclaw shivered. "Speaking of keeping warm, we'd better head back inside." | |

| rubbing her ears whenthey started to numb in the cold wind Freya gave up the idea of a long walk today "Probably a good idea..." Not waiting for much of a reply she decided to march right through the snow up to the castle rather than walk back down to the beach and follow it back the same way they had came. I was a shortcut, even if it looked like a quite snowy one | |

| Watching the younger student, Artemis took out her wand and began to clear a path out of the snow for them to walk in. No sense in getting their feet cold and wet because the Gryffindor insisted on using a shortcut, right? Following her, Artemis continued to clear the path at least three feet ahead of their footsteps. | |

| "Trust the blue ones for that..." Grinning at her own stubborn stupidity Freya marched on; like this they could get back even faster! | |

| Within short moments, they both saw the castle looming ahead of them. The sky was continuing to darken though, so they hurried inside where it was much warmer. | |

| "You okay, little guy? Sorry that we can't find your mommy for you..." Freya poked and petted the owl, wondering if it needed to eat... and just what did one feed baby-owls with? She couldn't really give it a mouse in front of Smurf, now could she? | |

| "Should we go to the owlery?" suggested Artemis, "There's bound to be a few treats or such for owls, right?" | |

| "Maybe... question is how good that'll be in plce for real food, owls are predators right? Then we'll need squirrls and mice and I-don't-know-all." but as there still was some time left until dinner there was little to do; at least Freya didn't know and conjuring-rodent-spell... | |

| Freya coudn't help but to frown in thought at first but then smile at what the Ravenclaw had just said "Then I've just got three things I want to ask you first; 1. How many times have you been in the kitchen? 2. What did you actaully check that they had in there? and 3; just what the heck did you need it for?" | |

| "First, only about five times throughout the past six years. Second, a finding spell lead me to the item. And finally, I was looking for some dried watermelon on a dare." Artemis sighed lightly, "One can only wonder why Sir Lionheart wanted red watermelon seeds." | |

| "No doubt he just wanted you to find them, and threw them away once you were done... But you leady the way, oh smarty Queen of the smurf-blue ravens!" petting the owl Freya only grinned and waited for Artemis to show the way | |

| "...A rather strange title, I'm sure." Artemis' eye twitched a bit at the new nickname, but left it otherwise untouched as she headed towards the Hufflepuff common room. The Kitchen's location had remained unchanged from a hundred years ago... | |

| Freya only laughed as she followed the other girl "What? You don't like it?"
She was rather funny, that odd Ravenclaw...
