“Really? Must be one boring life you’re living if you don’t enjoy laughing at stuff…” Now Freya didn’t know if she was freaked out, worried or just sad for this girl…

"Being carefree shouldn't be how one should live, it's highly unrealistic."

“And just mop around is better? Can’t one just accept things the way they are and enjoy the small bits of it?”
Really, she seemed quite determinate to just hate… Why? Freya didn’t get this at all…

"It's all a matter of perspective, one can only choose in whether to respond in joy or scorn. For myself, I'd rather just be neutral."

“Neutral at a mummy… I swear, you’re going to rot from the inside like that! You can’t just go through life not enjoying or hating anything! You at least have to have preferences!”

"Yeah, I guess so. Just feel a bit sorry for you, that's all."
rubbing her cheek against the owl Freya only smiled at the soft feathers

Artemis acknowledge the reply with a nod, her lack of sleep was making her response time slower...

"Nearly." They were almost to the portrait with the giant bowl of fruit.

Waiting and watching Freya made sure she’d remember exactly what to do to get back here again, not sure why she would need to, but it might turn out to be useful!

Artemis approached the painting and used a finger to tickle the green pair to the right of the banana. The pear began to jiggle and wobble, as if it were silently laughing before it swung backwards. Revealing a giant crowd of house elves!

“Man, that’s quite a trick…”
Making sure the owl was still in place Freya looked inside, a bit grin forming on her face

"Perhaps, once upon a time, but it's a secret that most anyone can find if they're willing to look for it." Without another word, the Ravenclaw entered the Kitchens and greeted a few house elves that she knew. Giving them encouraging smiles and reassurances that she was sleeping 'alright'.

Muttering about that “Talking like that you make about anyone sound like an idiot…” Freya followed her inside, giving the Ravenclaw a quite suspicious glare at the worlds of ‘alright’. She hardly looked like it…
But with the house-elfs around her she just asked for something to feed a small owl with, and hoped they had some fair idea of what to get…

A few house elves rushed to Freya's aid: some offered her plates with vermin like mice neatly sliced up, some offered bowls with ants and assorted insects and still others offered small bits of rabbit (or was it hare?).

Grinning Freya asked them to place it all on the counter, and then she put the tiny owl on front of it all; better let it pick what it wanted itself, the more it liked the stuff the more it'd eat...

The owlet looked at all the choices in confusion, this wasn't how his mother fed him!

"So you're small enough to not even know how to pick something up..."
With a sigh Freya shook her head, and then turned to the Ravenclaw
"You don't think any of this will actaully hurt it, do you?"

Artemis looked at all the plates and bowls, murmuring to herself quietly for several moments. "I believe all of these should be fine..." Then her eyes lit up in a moment of "aha" and she smiled and chuckled lowly, "He hasn't seen them like this before. A mother owl usually has the food chewed up and spat out again so it's easier for the owlet to digest. That's probably the problem."

"Chewed up? How does that work without theeth? And I'm sorry, but I won't eat that and then throw up again, I will not."

Looking back at the owl Freya picked out the smallet piece that she could find from one bowl and held it out for him; at some point they would eat stuff that was brought home and just ripped apart, rigth?

"You sure you won't have this as it is, little guy?"

Artemis frowned a bit and closed her eyes, cursing her tiredness. What she had just said was often what most animals did, but not what BIRDS did. Ugh, maybe she really did need more sleep...

The owlet looked at the food and pecked at it curiously, gobbling it up!

"Ha! It worked!"
Ignoring the looks of the Ravenclaw Freya continued to feed the little owl in hte same way, quite pleased she didn't have to chew anything...

Within a half hour, the owlet had finished a portion offered plate and bowl. When he was full, he looked around his surroundings curiously.

"Well, I think we can live this out just perfectly like this!"
getting her hands clean Freya once again petter the owl and then placed it in the new 'nest' on her scarf before turning to the house-elfs

"Think you can get a box or something with a good spell to keep this owl-food in that I can bring along? And that you can send this stuff up to the Gryffindor-table, at the far end, every morning from now on?"
